Denzlingen between Elz, Lossele
and Glotter

For the rivers that flow from the Black Forest in the plain, the Mauracher Berg formed a natural barrier. Especially during the winter, when the Elz’s outflow increased ('December flood') or when the snow was melting , which led to a spring led flood, the flow reached the Northern foot of the mountain. Material was removed by erosion and the still visible undercut on the north side of the mountain evolved. Kerning by lateral erosion caused compared with the southern incline, for example the direction of swimming pool, for the training of the steeper slopes.
